Our Flag, Our Future!

About

Too often, our national flag has been misused by people who want to divide us. But the flag doesn’t belong to them — it belongs to everyone who calls this country home. It should be a symbol of pride, welcome, and community. England’s true strength lies in its diversity, and our flag should celebrate that.

A flag should unite the people it represents. Ours should remind us of the creativity, kindness, and strength that come from communities of all backgrounds working together. We want the English flag to be a symbol that everyone feels proud to carry — whether your family has been here for generations or you’ve just arrived.

The purpose of this website is to reclaim and celebrate the flag as a symbol of belonging. Here you’ll find stories, campaigns, and opportunities to get involved — from sharing your own journey to joining community events and showing your support through photos, art, and merchandise. This space is here to inspire pride in our shared future, under one flag that truly represents us all.

Learning from the Past, Building for the Future

We recognise that the history of the British Empire includes painful chapters — times when injustice, exploitation, and harm were carried out in Britain’s name. But today, Britain has become a very different place. We live in a time of peace, where our country is learning from the past and building a future based on fairness, respect, and inclusion. The flag should reflect this progress and the values we hold now.

Let’s not turn back the clock. Our flag should never be a tool for hate or division. Instead, it can stand for the freedom, diversity, and unity we’ve worked hard to build. By standing together, we keep moving forward — towards a future where everyone belongs.
